چکیده
We conducted experimental research using high-porosity sintered fiber attached on the surface, as a passive method to increase heat flux for subcooled flow boiling. Two different porous thicknesses (1 and 0.5 mm) one bare surface (0 were compared under three inlet subcooling temperatures (30, 50 70 K) low mass (150–600 kg·m−2·s−1) deionized water working fluid atmospheric pressure. The test section was rectangular channel, hydraulic diameter 10 mm. results showed that surfaces with thickness of 1 mm increased by 60% 40%, respectively, at ΔTsat = 40 K temperature 300 kg·m−2·s−1. An abrupt in wall superheat avoided, critical (CHF) not reached surfaces. pattern bubble recorded high-speed camera, dynamics are discussed.

Experimental measurement of heat transfer coefficient and mass of deposited CaSO4 in subcooled flow boiling condition
Fouling is a common, fundamental and costly problem in heat transfer systems, which reduces thermal efficiency of equipment, increases the energy loss and causes strong damage to the heat transfer equipment in various industries. The main causes of fouling on the heat transfer surfaces are salts with inverse temperature-solubility in the fluid which calcium sulfate is one of the most important ...

A microscale heater array 2:7 mm 2:7 mm in size along with a video camera was used to provide subcooled pool boiling heat transfer measurements at gravity levels ranging from 1.8g to 10 g. The fluid was FC-72 at 1 atm and subcooled by nominally 36 C for all cases. A Terrier–Orion sounding rocket and the KC-135 aircraft were used to provide the microgravity and low-g environments, respectively. ...

Basic understanding of the process of coolant heat transfer inside an engine is an indispensable prerequisite to devise an infallible cooling strategy. Coolant flow and its heat transfer affect the cooling efficiency, thermal load of heated components, and thermal efficiency of a diesel engine. An efficient approach to studying cooling system for diesel engine is a 3D computational fluid dynami...
متن کاملThe Effect of Linear Change of Tube Diameter on Subcooled Flow Boiling and Critical Heat Flux
One of the major industry problems is the flow boiling, where reaching to the critical heat flux (CHF) condition can lead to a temperature jump and damage of the systems. In the present study, the effects of a uniform change in tube diameter on subcooled flow boiling and CHF was numerically investigated. The Euler-Euler model was used to investigate the relationship between the two liquid and v...
